Whether you personally think Sleepy Joe is too old to serve another term of if you think his wisdom and experience make him a great American President there are two certainties related to the question. One is regardless of your particular belief polls are indicating that a large percentage of American voters do think he’s too old. Two is unless your a Trump loving MAGA that hates diversity and America being democracy’s global protector most voters think even Old Joe Biden is a better option than also too old slur my words President Combover. So where does that leave a country that is so divided in values and politics that the color of the tie means more than the Presidential Candidate wearing the tie? Between a Red Rock and a Blue Stone.
Personally we think Biden has served his country well and never humiliated himself. We believe he speaks from the heart and does his best to tell the truth. He is respected internationally and considered a fair and decent man by most accounts. The other-guy on the other hand is a notorious liar, criminal and wanna be Dictator.
Will America choose hate in 2024 or decency? Will democracy be preserved or again threatened as it was on January 6th. While many educated Americans, democrats and decent, moderate republicans understand four more years of Trump could be a disaster here at home and abroad the alternative of re-electing the oldest President to ever hold the office has its own concerns.
This NY Times poll indicates that even Americans who voted for Biden in 2020 think he’s too old to be effective. Does that mean these Biden voting democrats would vote for Trump in 2024? Hell no is the most frequent response to that question. So what does that poll really tell us? It says that even among the loyalist democrats, Biden supporters, there is a plea for him to step down in August at the DNC and support a younger alternative that can carry on his policies and commandingly beat Trump. Who better to be that someone than Gavin Newsom? If Biden were to do this he would cement his legacy as a true statesman and go out on top. If this were to happen Trump would be the speech slurring, name gaffing ignoramus who would be TOO OLD to be elected. He would be older than President Biden is now when he left office in 2028.
